What we will not do

• Compare figures measured differently. “Top tube” is the effective length on one chart and the actual length on the next — State uses both, on two of its own models. Where the bases differ, the comparison stops instead of inventing a difference.
• Fill a blank. A missing value reads as zero; we print “not published”.
• Reuse numbers across model years. Geometry belongs to a year, not to a name.
